US Prestige Fragrance Prices Increased by 15% in 2021

Consumers indulged in stronger concentrations and higher-priced luxury brands, according to NPD Group.

The average retail price for fragrances in the US prestige market rose by 15% in 2021 versus 2020. The gain came after averaging a 5% increase during the two years prior, according to US retail sales data from The NPD Group. Both men’s and women’s fragrances added nearly $10 more per product, on average, in 2021, said NPD. The prestige fine fragrance sector has been red hot of late.
